We are also known for our delicious 24 hr cooked to order Breakfasts, from Steak and Eggs to Pancakes to Biscuits and Gravy.  All this started at the Vivion Road Location although our Chili receipe dates back to 1906 when Marvin Hayes, Father of 1st Owner Irvin W. Hayes, had a restaurant in Liberty Missouri.  Louise Hayes and Irvin Hayes opened the Vivion Road Store in October of 1955. 

Jim are Joe were active in the business for years, now only Jim Hayes is left.  Louise left us in Jan 2003 and Joe left in Nov 2001.  Irvin has been gone since 1977.

Jim hopes to keep the memory of Irvin, Louise, Marvin and Joe alive for many years to come.  Along to help Jim in this endeavor are his wife Migdalia, and many employees including Georgia, Aaron, Jolene, James, Tom, Brett, Matt, Larry, Amber and some fine new ones up in Lawrence in the near furture. 

We are going to try to bake our own pies and biscuits and have soups and salads and some organic items for those who would like them on the menu.  Hope I see you soon.
